Amateur Aadam Daya wins $625,872

The "Stimulus Special" event that the WSOP attempted in 2009 was brilliant. Players came from around the world to test their luck in the least expensive ($1,000) buy-in event of the Series and to be able to say that they played in one of the largest poker tournaments in history. A mere 6,012 players spent their $1,000 last year and the WSOP staff believed that the cheaper events could be the start of something big.
