Instead of No. 12, Lefrancois earns No. 1
The scene was set. There were only two tables remaining in Event 8 of the 2010 World Series of Poker. The cameras were rolling and the rail was three-fans deep. Why? Phil Hellmuth had already outlasted 2,325 players and had his sights set on bracelet number 12. This time though, it wasn't meant to be. Hellmuth was eliminated in 15th place and left a void filled immediately by 23-year-old college student Pascal Lefrancois.
