Connecticut snapped Notre Dame's 45-game home win streak, beating the Irish despite another stellar performance by Luke Harangody.

Shane Mosley enjoyed one of the best performances of his illustrious career, scoring a ninth-round TKO over Antonio Margarito to win another world title.

Louisville has been on fire, winning seven games in a row. The latest came against Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.

The Celtics have been hot too, winning eight in a row. The last six victories have all come by double figures.

Oregon State hoops coach Craig Robinson had an amazing week. First he saw his brother-in-law inaugurated as our new President. Then his Beavers went on the road and scored a pair of big Pac-10 wins, beating California and Stanford.

STOCK DOWN

It has been a rough time for some of the top women's seeds at the Australian Open. Jelena Jankovic, Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic all went out in the first week of the tournament.

The Memphis Grizzlies have dropped nine in a row, being held below 100 points in all of those nine contests. The team is 2-17 in its last 19 outings.

The Toronto Maple Leafs has won three times in their last 14 games.
