PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Toolson, Utah Valley

It took four overtimes for the Utah Valley senior guard to score a school-record 63 points and lead his squad to a 123-121 win at Chicago State. He also scored 22 points in a loss to Cal State-Bakersfield.


TEAM OF THE WEEK: Kansas State

Frank Martin's team entered the week 12-7 overall, 1-4 in the Big 12. The Wildcats came away with a pair of big wins. First was an 88-72 decision over Missouri. Kansas State followed that up with an 85-81 stunner at Texas behind Dennis Clemente's 44 points.


COACH OF THE WEEK: Buzz Williams, Marquette

In his first season as the school's head coach, Williams has the Golden Eagles in the top 10. Marquette scored a win at Notre Dame and a home triumph over Georgetown.


CO-COACH OF THE WEEK: Andy Kennedy, Mississippi

The rebels upset Kentucky and Mississippi State (the latter coming on the road).


DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Willie Warren, Oklahoma

He had 29 points, six rebounds, four assists and zero turnovers in 39 minutes during a hard-fought win at Iowa State.


SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Georgia Tech over Wake Forest

The Yellow Jackets did not have an ACC win (0-6) prior to Saturday. Wake Forest had momentum after a big-time victory over Duke. Paul Hewitt's squad picked a good time to enter the win column in league play, scoring a 76-74 surprise. Diaper dandy Iman Shumpert hit the winning basket with just one second remaining to give Tech the win.
