Tennessee women's coach Pat Summitt earned her 1000th career victory when the Lady Vols knocked off Georgia.

The Lakers had a super week. Kobe Bryant set a Madison Square Garden record for points by an opponent, putting up 61 against the Knicks. Then Los Angeles won at Boston and Cleveland, ending the Cavaliers' dream of a perfect home mark.

Connecticut men's and women's team remained number one in the rankings.

Kevin Harvick passed Jamie McMurray on the final lap of the exhibition Budweiser Shootout to earn the checkered flag.
