PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marcus Thornton, LSU The 6-4 guard has had a super season, and he came through in two key SEC wins. He had 32 points, five assists and five rebounds in a win over Florida. Then he scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds in a victory at Kentucky.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Kansas. The Jayhawks had a pair of key Big 12 victories. Kansas knocked off Oklahoma in Norman (87-78) and then beat Missouri, 90-65. Bill Self's squad shot 56 percent from the field against the Tigers.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Jim Calhoun, Connecticut Congratulations on career victory number 800 when the Huskies knocked off Marquette. He had win number 801 against Notre Dame.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Providence over Pittsburgh The Friars beat the No. 1 team in America for the first time since 1976. It was also Providence's first victory over Pittsburgh in nine tries.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Tyshawn Taylor, Kansas He hit eight-of-13 field goals for 26 points in the win over Oklahoma. Against Missouri he had 15 points and six assists.
