Dickie V's awards from Friday night's action:

PLAYER OF THE NIGHT: Tony Crocker, Oklahoma.

After struggling earlier in the tournament, Crocker came through with a career-high 28 points in the blowout of Syracuse.

TEAM OF THE NIGHT: Louisville.

The Cardinals blew out Arizona, 103-64. That was the most points by Louisville in an NCAA tournament game. Earl Clark scored 19 points for the winners.

CO-COACH OF THE NIGHT: Roy Williams, North Carolina and Tom Izzo, Michigan State.

The Tar Heels looked as good as they have in a while in a win over Gonzaga. The Spartans fought back from a 13-point deficit to get past Kansas in the best game of the evening.
