Danny Gans was a unique performer
I was crushed beyond belief when I heard the news that Las Vegas entertainer Danny Gans was found dead in his home the other day. I was absolutely blown away by the tragic news that he was gone at age 52.
Talk about a guy who took care of himself physically ... he was always in shape and cared about himself. I got to know Danny over the years and he was a proud father and husband. He was so dedicated to his family, married 28 years to his wife Julie, and he loved his three children (Amy, Andrew and Emily).

Mr. Entertainment on the Vegas strip, he was honored numerous times as the premier performer out there. He was so special and unique on stage, and an incredible human being off of it. The entertainment world lost more than a champion performer, it lost a champion in life.
Danny's manager, Chip Lightman, used to tease me all the time that I probably knew the lines more than anybody because I had seen the show so many times. I would never tire of seeing Danny Gans because his talents were incredible. Every time was like a new experience and he changed his routines.
Gans was the best of all time in my book. He was also proud of his athletic ability.
When you went backstage to his dressing room and his office, you would see so much memorabilia. He loved getting stuff from the stars that visited him, from Tiger Woods to Alex Rodriguez and on and on. One superstar after another, they would be on display in the trophy case he was so proud of.
Gans played minor league baseball, but his career was cut short due to injury. Baseball's loss was Las Vegas' gain, and he did so much work for charities. He was an incredible entertainer, family man and a person.
He was a giant in every way possible. He is truly going to be missed.
