The Los Angeles Lakers made it to the NBA finals by knocking off the Denver Nuggets in six games. Phil Jackson's team will face the Orlando Magic in the championship round after Stan Van Gundy's club beat the Cavaliers in six games.

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price struck out 11 Twins in earning his first major league regular-season victory.

The Phillies won four in a row and eight of the last 11.

Jamie Moyer got his 250th career win, beating the Nationals on Sunday.

Steve Stricker rallied to win the PGA Tour event.

Jimmie Johnson won the NASCAR race in Dover, Delaware.

Phil Jackson was fined $25,000 for comments about officiating. Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was fined $10,000 for his remarks about the worst call in the history of sports.

What has happened at the French Open? Rafael Nadal was stunned by Robin Soderling. Ana Ivanovic was also upset Sunday. James Blake was ousted in the first round of the French Open. Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams failed to make it to the second week.

The Washington Nationals have lost six straight games.
