STOCK UP

The Yankees extended their win streak to seven following a sweep of the Red Sox.

Tiger Woods won the Bridgestone Invitational for the seventh time in his career. It also marked his 70th PGA Tour triumph.

The Washington Nationals won eight in a row.

The Marlins swept the Phillies.

Florida football coach Urban Meyer received a six-year contract extension worth an estimated $24 million. Come on coach, give me a loan!

NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning agreed to terms of a new deal which will pay him around $14 million a season for the next seven years.

STOCK DOWN

The Red Sox lost six straight games. Boston is now 6 games behind the Yankees in the AL East.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have dropped eight straight games.

Rashard Lewis received a 10-game suspension for a failed drug test.

Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch had his appeal denied, meaning his three-game suspension remains intact.

Prince Fielder and Guillermo Mota were fined. Mota threw a pitch that hit the Brewers first baseman. Fielder tried to go after the pitcher following the game, going to the Dodgers clubhouse, before he was stopped by security.
