It didn't take Sean Miller long to get things heated up in Tucson.

Arizona was one of the elite programs during Lute Olson's tenure. That is why Olson is in the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts! Then turmoil set in at the end of his regime, but now things have settled down and this program has more stability.

Athletic Director Jim Livengood hit a grand slam, a la Justin Upton, when he named Miller as the new head coach. Miller is a masterful communicator who is well-liked in the coaching profession. He has a special way of dealing with the modern-day athlete.

Already Arizona is reaping the benefits of Miller's presence. You can see why he was given the mega-dollars to leave Xavier and head west. He did a fantastic job with the Musketeers, and he will do a great service to the Wildcats fans in Tucson.

Miller will make noise in the Pac-10. Rest assured this program will return to its elite status among the nation's premier ones in a short time.

Guard Lamont Jones said no to USC and decided to join Miller at Arizona. He joins a class that also includes an exciting player in 6-6 forward Solomon Hill from out of Los Angeles.

The Wildcats also got good news when guard Nic Wise pulled out of the NBA draft to return to Tucson. That helped cut down the sting of losing Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger early to the pros.

Sean Miller is a winner with a great family background. His dad was a winner in Black Hawk, Pennsylvania. His brother has done a good job as an assistant at Ohio State under Thad Matta.

Miller knows what it takes to win. He has the charismatic personality that rates well with people.

Arizona will be a steady, consistent program under the leadership of its new coach!
