TEAM OF THE WEEK: Syracuse

The Orange won the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Jim Boeheim's squad beat a pair of ranked teams at Madison Square Garden -- California (95-73) and North Carolina (87-71).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Wes Johnson, Syracuse

The transfer from Iowa State showed his superstar potential at the Garden. His versatility was apparent against California as he scored 17 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked six shots. Against North Carolina, he scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Cal State-Fullerton over UCLA

The Bruins lost a lot of talent (Darren Collison, Jrue Holliday to name two players), but it was still shock city to lose at Pauley.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Tom Izzo, Michigan State

He tied Jud Heathcote on the school's all-time win list. Izzo and Heathcote each have 340 wins.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: John Wall, Kentucky

It was a week to remember for arguably the premier diaper dandy in America. It started with the game-winning shot against Miami-Ohio in a nail biter; he scored 19 in that victory. He scored 21 points and six assists vs. Sam Houston State, and finished the strong week with 21 points, 11 assists and just two turnovers against Rider.
