TEAM OF THE WEEK: Florida

Billy Donovan's team has missed out on the big dance the last two years. That should change this season as the Gators have been hot out of the gate. Florida got big wins over Michigan State and Florida State, plus the Legends Classic championship with a victory over Rutgers.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: John Shurna, Northwestern

The Wildcats scored a pair of surprises to win a tournament in Chicago. The sophomore forward had 25 points in a 72-58 upset over Notre Dame. He put up 23 more in a 67-65 win over Iowa State.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: William and Mary over Wake Forest

Wow, this had to send shock waves throughout the ACC. Dino Gaudio's team was stunned at home.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Norm Roberts, St. John's

He has been under pressure the last few years. Is this the year the Red Storm makes some noise in the Big East? St. John's got a pair of big victories on back-to-back nights, beating Siena and Temple.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: J'Covan Brown, Texas

It was not all about his stats, but the pressure of moving into the starting lineup following the season-ending injury to Varez Ward. Brown totaled 41 points in three wins -- against Pittsburgh, Iowa and Rice.
