PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Greivis Vasquez, Maryland.

The Terps star guard scored 41 big points as the Terps scored a 104-100 double-overtime win over Virginia Tech.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: New Mexico

Steve Alford's Lobos scored a pair of road wins. New Mexico won at Colorado State, 72-66, and at BYU, 83-81. Dairese Gary had 23 points against the Cougars.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Evansville over Northern Iowa.

The Purple Aces had lost 17 of its prior 18 games going into the game against Northern Iowa. James Haarsma had 12 points and eight boards as Evansville scored a 55-54 stunner.

It marked the first time the Purple Aces knocked off a ranked team since 2003.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Mike Brey, Notre Dame.

The Irish were considered finished in the race for an NCAA berth, but now the team is back in the hunt. Notre Dame beat Pittsburgh 68-53, and followed that up with a 78-64 shocker at Georgetown as Ben Hansbrough and Tim Abromaitis combined for 40 points.

CO-DIAPER DANDIES OF THE WEEK: Hassan Whiteside, Marshall and Jordan Williams, Maryland

Whiteside had his third triple-double of the season, scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 rebounds while blocking a school and conference record 13 blocks as Marshall knocked off Central Florida 121-115 in triple overtime. Williams had 18 points in a win over Clemson and 15 boards in a victory against Virginia Tech.
