STOCK UP

Kobe Bryant received a three-year contract extension from the Lakers.

Evan Turner was named Naismith Award winner and AP men's college basketball Player of the Year.

• The Miami Heat have won eight straight, behind Dwyane Wade.

Andy Roddick beat Rafael Nadal en route to the championship at the Sony Ericsson tournament in Florida.

Kim Clijsters beat Venus Williams, 6-2, 6-1 at that same event.


STOCK DOWN

• Browns defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was arrested for trying to board an airplane with a loaded handgun.

Alex Brown was let go by the Bears.

Flozell Adams and Ken Hamlin were released by the Cowboys.

Kevin Garnett was fined $25,000 by the NBA for criticizing referees.

• The Detroit Pistons have lost 11 straight games.
