• The Charlotte Bobcats clinched their first playoff berth.

• The Miami Heat are 9-1 in their last 10 games.

• The Toronto Blue Jays started the season 5-1.

Houston Rockets forward Luis Scola scored 44 points vs. the New Jersey Nets.
