It is baseball postseason time, baby! I am a big baseball fan, and while I am not an expert like the guys on Baseball Tonight, I do have opinions on the postseason awards and I definitely have some playoff predictions.

• Here are the players and managers who I believe deserve individual recognition:

AL MVP: Josh Hamilton, Texas
NL MVP: Joey Votto, Cincinnati

AL Cy Young: David Price, Tampa Bay
NL Cy Young: Roy Halladay, Philadelphia

AL Manager of the Year: Ron Washington, Texas
NL Manager of the Year: Dusty Baker, Cincinnati

AL Rookie of the Year: Neftali Feliz, Texas
NL Rookie of the Year: Buster Posey, San Francisco

• And this is how I see the postseason playing out:

  • Philadelphia over Cincinnati... Halladay and Roy Oswalt will be too much.
  • San Francisco over Atlanta... Bobby Cox sees his magical career end.

Philadelphia over San Francisco... There should be some great pitching matchups but the Phillies have too many bats in their lineup.

New York over Minnesota... CC Sabathia will be the key to victory.
Tampa Bay over Texas... David Price and Matt Garza will come through big.

Tampa Bay over New York... Home field advantage will play out here.

World Series

Tampa Bay over Philadelphia in seven... My Rays get revenge after losing to the Phillies a few years back. Closer Rafael Soriano will be an important factor!
