PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kemba Walker, Connecticut

For a second straight week, the guard out of Rice high school in New York City gets the honor. He was the star of stars out in Maui, scoring 90 points in three wins against Wichita State, Michigan State and Kentucky.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Connecticut

The Huskies were picked 10th in the Big East preseason poll. Are there really nine better teams in the conference? I don't think so, baby! UConn rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half of the Wichita State game and then logged impressive wins over top-ranked Michigan State and Kentucky to take the Maui tourney.

COACH OF THE WEEK: Jim Calhoun, Connecticut

The Hall of Fame coach is a Frank Lloyd Wright who has built two national championship teams in Storrs, Connecticut and knows how to handle adversity. His Huskies responded to recruiting speculation by winning in Maui and beating three quality opponents.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Tobias Harris, Tennessee

He had 15 points and nine rebounds in an upset of Villanova in the finals of the NIT Preseason Tip-off. He also had 15 points in the Vols' semifinal win over a tough Virginia Commonwealth club.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Evansville over Butler

The Purple Aces, coming off losses to Middle Tennessee and Indiana, stunned Brad Stevens' Butler squad 71-69 in overtime.
