RANDLE EL CAN THROW IT

From Elias: Antwaan Randle El, who threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Mike Wallace on Monday, has now completed 21 of 26 regular-season passes (81 percent) for 320 yards and five touchdowns without an interception, which translates to a 157.5 passer rating, just shy of the maximum (158.3). Randle El has the highest completion percentage and higher passer rating among players with at least 20 passes in NFL history. RONDO HELPS OTHERS

From Elias: Rajon Rondo had 15 assists in a losing effort on Monday, giving him five games of 15 or more assists this season. That's already tied for the third-most in any season in Celtics history. Rondo set the record with eight games of 15-plus assists last season; Nate Archibald had six in 1979-80 and Bob Cousy had five in 1959-60.

Rondo's 118 assists are second-most over the first eight games of a season in NBA history. John Stockton had 135 assists for Utah in the first eight games of the 1989-90 season.
