From Elias: Both Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have had ten 30-point games this season. They are the fourth pair of teammates over the last 20 seasons to each have 10 such games within the team's first 40 games of a season. Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullin did it for the Warriors in 1991-92, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal did it twice for the Lakers (2000-01 and 2002-03) and Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson for the Nuggets in 2007-08.

19 WINS IN 20 GAMES FOR HEAT
From Elias: The Heat have won 19 of their last 20 games. The last NBA team to go 19-1 or 20-0 over a 20-game span within one season was the Celtics from November 15 through December 25, 2008 (19-1). This is the second time LeBron James has been on a team that went 19-1 over a 20-game span. The Cavaliers did it from November 3 through December 12, 2008.

From Elias: Wilson Chandler (31), Amar'e Stoudemire (28) and Raymond Felton (28) were the high-scorers in the Knicks' 128-115 victory over the Spurs. You have to go back nearly 40 years to find the last time that three Knicks players scored 28-or-more points in the same non-overtime game: Back on Jan. 23, 1971, Walt Frazier (32), Willis Reed (30) and Dick Barnett (28) led Red Holzman's team to a 128-107 win over Tom Heinsohn's Celtics.

SPURS STREAK ENDS SHY OF A RECORD
From Elias: The Spurs trailed the Knicks, 101-95, through three quarters Tuesday night. It's the first time since March 3, 1993 that the Spurs allowed 100-or-more points over a game's first three quarters, a span of 1,422 games. That was the second-longest such streak in NBA history. Houston had an NBA-record 1,488 game streak ended by the Jazz last February.

ZACH LOOKING FOR LOVE
From Elias: Zach Randolph had 31 points and 16 rebounds in the Grizzlies' win over the Thunder. It was the third time this season that Randolph had at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game. Kevin Love (four) is the only NBA player with as many such games as Randolph this season.

GRIZZLIES EAT TWO GOOD TEAMS
From Elias: The Grizzlies won back-to-back games against the Lakers and Thunder. It is the third time in team history that the Grizzlies won consecutive games, both against teams that were at least 10 games over .500. They also did it in January 2004 (Lakers and Kings) and March 2001 (both against Portland). In the 2001 instance the franchise was in Vancouver.

From Elias: Jamal Crawford led the Hawks with 27 points Tuesday night. It was the seventh time this season that Crawford led his team in scoring despite starting the game on the bench. That's the most such games for any player in the NBA this season.

GIBSON EXCELS OFF BENCH
From Elias: Taj Gibson came off the Bulls' bench to score 16 points and grab 14 rebounds Tuesday night. Gibson is the third Chicago player over the last five seasons to score that many points and grab that many rebounds in a game as a non-starter. Andres Nocioni (17 points, 15 rebounds) did it on January 17, 2009 and Brad Miller (21 points, 14 rebounds) did it on St. Patrick's Day in 2009.

DESHAWN STEPS UP FOR MAVS
From Elias: DeShawn Stevenson and Jason Terry led the injury ravaged Mavericks with 18 points Tuesday night. It was the first time since October 29, 2008 that Stevenson led his team in scoring, tied or outright. Stevenson led the Wizards with 14 points in that game.

THERE IS NO CLUTTER IN CAL'S GAME
From Elias: Cal Clutterbuck scored the first goal in the Wild's 2-1 win at New Jersey and he was credited with a team-high six hits. It was the league-high fifth time this season that Clutterbuck scored a goal and had at least six hits in the same game. The only other NHL players with more than two such games this season are the Rangers' Ryan Callahan (4) and Brian Boyle (3) .

NEVER TOO OLD TO PITCH A SHUTOUT
From Elias: Dwayne Roloson, who was traded to Tampa Bay by the Islanders on New Year's Day, made his Lightning debut with a 1-0 overtime win at Washington on Tuesday. It was the first shutout of the season for Roloson, who turned 41 years old in October. Roloson is only the third NHL goaltender in the last 33 seasons to post a shutout at age 41 or older, following Dominik Hasek, who had 13 shutouts after his 41st birthday (the last of which came at age 43 in March 2008), and Ed Belfour, with one at age 41 in February 2007.
Tampa Bay is the sixth different NHL team that Roloson has recorded shutouts for; the others are Calgary (1), Buffalo (1), Minnesota (15), Edmonton (6) and the Islanders (1). He's the third goaltender in league history to post shutouts for six or more different teams, joining Sean Burke (7) and Lorne Chabot (6).

LIDSTROM GETTING BETTER WITH AGE
From Elias: Nicklas Lidstrom extended his point-scoring streak to eight games with a pair of assists in the Red Wings' win at Edmonton. Lidstrom has registered 39 points in 40 games this season, his highest total ever at the 40-game mark in any of his 19 seasons in the NHL. Lidstrom's previous high was 37 points through 40 games in both 1991-92 (his rookie year) and 2005-06.

DOAN DONE GOOD
From Elias: Shane Doan recorded his fourth straight multiple-point game with a goal and an assist for the Coyotes in their 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Doan is the fourth Coyotes player to score at least two points in each of four consecutive team games since the club moved to Phoenix from Winnipeg in 1996. The others were Keith Tkachuk (1996-97), Jeremy Roenick (who did it in both 1998-99 and 2000-01) and Radim Vrbata (2007-08).

From Elias: Colorado overcame a 3-2 deficit to beat the Sabres in overtime, 4-3. It was the sixth time this season that the Avalanche won a game in which they trailed in the third period, tying them with the Thrashers and Stars for the NHL high.
