JOEL ANTHONY: 15 REBOUNDS BUT NO SHOTS

From Elias: Joel Anthony (16 rebounds, no FGA, no FTA) became the second player in NBA history to collect at least 15 rebounds in a game in which he didn't have either a field-goal attempt or a shot from the foul line. Dennis Rodman had three such games in his career (including one with 20 rebounds), all for the Spurs in January 1994.

HAWKS AND HEAT TIE RECORD FOR MISSED "THREES"

From Elias: There were a lot of off-target long-distance shots in Tuesday's Atlanta-Miami game. In fact, the teams combined to miss 47 three-point field-goal attempts (24 by the Hawks and 23 by the Heat), tying an NBA single-game record done twice before, both in Knicks games (Nov. 25, 2008 vs. Cleveland and Feb. 11, 2009 at the L.A. Clippers).

BOBCATS WIN DESPITE 0 FOR 13 MARK FROM DOWNTOWN

From Elias: The Bobcats missed all 13 of their three-point field-goal attempts on Tuesday night but they managed to eke out an 83-82 win at Chicago. It was only the fourth time since the NBA started using the three-point line in 1979 that a team won a game in which it took at least 13 "threes" and missed them all. Before Charlotte did it the last team to win such a game was the Clippers against the Timberwolves on New Year's Eve 2007.

THREE-GAME GOAL STREAKS FOR STAAL AND KUNITZ

From Elias: Jordan Staal and Chris Kunitz each extended their goal-scoring streaks to three games in the Penguins' 4-1 win against the Red Wings. They're the first Pittsburgh players other than Sidney Crosby and Evegeni Malkin to record goals in three or more consecutive team games this season. Crosby has had two five-game, one four-game and two three-game goal streaks, and Malkin has had one three-game streak.

Meszaros

RARE OVERTIME GOAL BY FLYERS DEFENSEMAN

From Elias: Defenseman Andrej Meszaros scored the second overtime goal of his NHL career to give the Flyers a 3-2 win at Washington (he scored one for Tampa Bay last season). Meszaros' OT goal was only the second in the last five seasons by a Philadelphia defenseman. Randy Jones scored in extra time to win a game for the Flyers in Boston on Feb. 7, 2009.

Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning

Ovechkin

ALEX GETS HIS "OVECHTRICK"... SORT OF

From Elias: Many of you have probably seen the TV commercial in which Alex Ovechkin scores nine goals in one game and he dubs it an "Ovechtrick." We're here to report that he did complete an "Ovechtrick" of sorts in the Capitals' overtime loss to the Flyers on Tuesday. Ovechkin's goal in the third period was his ninth goal... in 36 games since November 1.

Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers

Miller

RYAN MILLER'S 18TH WIN VS. MONTREAL

From Elias: Ryan Miller and the Sabres beat the Canadiens, 2-1, in overtime on Tuesday. Miller's win improved his career record against Montreal to 18-8-5. Miller ranks second in career wins versus the Canadiens among active NHL goaltenders yet he doesn't have half as many victories as the current leader, Martin Brodeur (39-16-5).

Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils

Dumont

FIVE GOALS IN TWO GAMES FOR DUMONT

From Elias: J.P. Dumont, who ended his 17-game goal drought with a pair of goals in the Predators' loss at Chicago on Sunday, scored three goals in Nashville's win at Phoenix on Tuesday. It was Dumont's fourth hat trick in the NHL and his first in more than nine years. It's only the second time that Dumont has scored five goals over a two-game span. He did that for the Sabres in December 2000 in games against the Rangers (two goals) and Bruins (three) .

The 36 goals are ten more than he's scored against any other team (26 vs. Calgary and Edmonton) and the second-most against the Canucks by an active NHL player (Teemu Selanne has 38).
