Shaquille and Jimmy

Wow, what an amazing day Shaquille and I were able to spend with Jimmy Rollins and the Philadelphia Phillies. It was probably one of the best days we've ever been through as a family.

Shaquille has been a huge Rollins' fan for as long as I can remember. They're both middle infielders and I think that's what drew him into his love of Jimmy. Shaquille -- like so many others -- is fascinated by Jimmy's infectious love of the game and hard nosed play. It also helps that he's one of the best players in baseball.

This trip was an amazing trip for us because not only did we get to hang out with the Phillies and I had the chance to watch them fully embrace my son. It was great to see him hang out in the dugout with Ryan Howard, Shane Victorino and meet Atlanta Braves' star Chipper Jones in the outfield during warmups.

In addition to hanging out with us at the stadium, Jimmy made it a point to come out with us to Hollywood Studios and jump on rides with us. Shaquille still talks about this day and how amazing it was for him to be around his heroes. I can't say enough how much the Phillies and Jimmy did for my son. They autographed two bats for him and a ball and gave him two of Jimmy's bats. We never expected anything like that in a million years.

I want to take the time to thank ESPN and the Make A Wish foundation for all their help and for embracing our family in so much love.

I can't thank Jimmy enough as he didn't let the day end there with Shaquille. They still email each other to this day! What more can you ask from a day than that!
