FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR, WE'VE TURNED OVER OUR CAMERAS TO ATHLETES AND ASKED THEM TO CHRONICLE THEIR DAYS FOR US. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT THEY GOT.

SNOWBOARDER, ON VACATION IN ALASKA
The weather was bad, so we couldn't snowboard. Instead, we stopped at a store, and my snowboarder pal Scotty Lago bought a fishing license and a rod. I bought a BB gun to protect us from the bears. Then we went out to hook some fish. This is my second catch. A friend of mine had been in town to film a snowboard video. When he went home, he left us his Geo. It had no brakes and the passenger door didn't open, but at least it was something to drive.
PENGUINS RW, ON ROAD TO STANLEY CUP FINALS
I practice yoga, and for this photo, some of my teammates joined me. Tyler Kennedy is the guy in front. I'm to his right, Dany Sabourin to his left. We're doing a pose called Utkatasana. You can't see it in the shot, but we had a pretty big group here. Ryan Malone and Sidney Crosby are getting dressed before practice. The guys didn't feel like posing, but they finally agreed after I insisted so much.
BREWERS 3B, ON RECENT HOMESTAND
[1 ] Prince Fielder is my closest friend on the team. When he walks into the clubhouse, you never know how he'll look. If he's not hitting, he may grow a goatee or shave his head. This is his '80s look: mustache and muttonchops. Mikey (Rivera) is in the cold tub. We had a day game, and he must have played. And that's Rickie Weeks getting ready for a postgame workout. Yes, we soak in our clothes. Who wants to sit naked with other guys?
A's SS, ON SEASON-OPENING TRIP TO JAPAN
I was really impressed with the local gardens. I'm a terrible gardener. I would so screw up a bonsai tree. The atmosphere at this game against the Yomiuri Giants was really fun. It's much louder than over here. The fans have a chant for every player on the team. When we were up, though, it was like crickets. I hit a home run, by the way. This is me and my wife, Gina. We love sushi, so we went to a place called Ninja. When you walk in, guys dressed as ninjas jump out to escort you to your table, like it's in enemy territory. It was pretty funny.
DUCKS RW, DURING PLAYOFF RUN
This is the hospitality suite in Dallas. We played cards in there all day so we wouldn't get into any trouble. But they gave us only water and Gatorade-no soda, no cookies. Doug Weight is in the blue shirt, Sammy Pahlsson is dealing. Poor guy can't grow a beard. Here is Teemu Selanne by airport security. We have a system when we travel: Veterans board first, and everyone sits in the same seat on every trip; row 28 is mine. And we keep to our routines: card games, reading, watching DVDs. You can say we're creatures of habit.
TOP-RANKED WOMEN'S SURFER, AT HOME IN PERU
Between contests, I try to spend as much time here as possible. I started the season off great, so I'm currently the overall leader. The start has given me a lot of confidence for the rest of the year. My boyfriend, Scott, and I met in California. He travels with me, but I do most of my surfing alone, because he's always working on that computer. Say hello to Benjamin. I got him six months ago. He loves running on the beach. He also loves to bite. We're working on that.
BOXER, IN TRAINING
I have a full-size gym in my house in Big Bear, Calif., and I was there to train for my now-canceled fight with Zab Judah. Here, my dad/trainer, Jack, is taping up my hands before I spar. When I'm not training, I bowl. LaDainian Tomlinson visited recently to work out with me, and we went head to head at the Bowling Barn. It was a split decision. Grizzly Manor is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I usually get an omelette and these grits I love. My boys and I took LT; that's him in the back in the white shirt. Our wives are friends; that's how we met. Now, we're good friends too.
MOTOCROSS ICON TURNED RALLY RACER, AT THE RACE OF CHAMPIONS
Always one to set a good example, I took some time out to run up this wall. Each time, I landed on my feet. Here's a picture of Andy Bowyer, Clint Bowyer's brother, trying to do it too. Let's just say he didn't feel so great in his groin area afterward. Before the Race of Champions, Jimmie Johnson (left) and I checked our odds of winning on an online betting site. I was 25-1. (I made it to the second round, in case you're wondering.) As we walked to dinner one night, this limo full of girls started screaming at me. Of course, I ran to say hi to them. I must have scared them, though, because soon after I got there, they sped away.
ORIOLES 3B, WITH THE FAMILY IN MARYLAND
Here are my two sons, Matthew and Christian, on their first day of Little League. I try to lay low at their games. I want them to see me, but I don't want to be in the coaches' way. Earlier that day, our youngest quint, Jada, and I watched the parade to kick off the kids' season. That was fun. And as they get into the game more, they like coming to my games more, too. My wife, Gisel, and I are always counting our kids, and that's easier when they're all dressed alike. We let our oldest, Tatiana, wear what she wants, but (from left) Jada, Matthew, Christian, Genesis and Rebekah still have to match.
ALPINE SKIER, IN DENVER WITH THE GIRLS
We went to the Rockies-Cubs game at Coors Field. The Rockies won! My friend Alyssa (left) and I celebrated by eating a lot of hot dogs. I checked in with my doctor in Vail. Good news-no knee surgery this year. While I was there, I caught his dog, Crackers, chasing something in his dreams. The girls on the trip were my bridesmaids last year, so getting together was special. Vanessa, to my right, made "I Heart Lindsey" shirts for the World Cup race in Aspen last year. They all promised me a reunion tour this year-and every year after.
PGA GOLFER, ON AN OFF-WEEK AT HOME
It was so nice to have some time in Scottsdale. I don't get it very often. My friend Stephanie and I went shopping at a place called Kierland Commons. Inspired by all the kids who were running in this fountain, I thought I'd try it too. I swear there were kids. We saw this apron in the window and I couldn't resist. If you're wondering why I'm in both pictures, it's because Stephanie is a professional photographer. She insisted on taking everything.
"Did we give a camera to A-Rod? I wanna know what he does with all that damn money."
SNOWBOARDER, ON A ROAD TRIP TO MAMMOTH, CALIF.
The West Coast Invitational was held over Cinco de Mayo weekend, so my buddies and I thought it would be appropriate to dress the part. We bought Mexican soccer jerseys. That's Jack Mitrani in his, carrying his Mexican guitar. I rode shotgun in my Sierra. I had surgery on my left ankle, so I didn't compete, but I rode along to support my friends. Luke Mitrani, who was at the wheel, took this one. Maybe that wasn't the safest idea. We found this place in the middle of nowhere, and the sign doesn't lie. It is really good jerky.
