Phinally! After 25 years sans any kind of a championship -- that's 100 combined seasons across the four major sports -- Philadelphians got their title phreak on, thanks to the Phils. Perhaps fittingly, the World Series win came a season after the franchise became the first in U.S. history to rack up 10,000 L's. Of course, winning it all, especially after so much futility, ensured giant leaps across the Standings board. The Players, for example, received a 13-place bump. Fans also gave high marks to out-of-the-box programs such as the Red Goes Green initiative, which calls for volunteers from local schools, organizations and environmental groups to help collect recyclables during home games. And they love the pregame Alley Hour at Ashburn Alley, where fans catch BP and score concession deals, such as a free platter upgrade at Bull's BBQ (home of MLB's largest grill!) and dollar dogs at Harry the K's. (RIP, Mr. Kalas, a class act adored by the fans and players.) And for those who don't eat meat, the No. 1 vegetarian ballpark three years running also serves up veggie burgers, hot dogs and, yes, quesadillas. So even though the tix may rank among the league's steepest ($31.10), the hike was only 10%, a moderate increase when you consider these fans would pay big to avoid another 28-year wait for their next championship.
