The only NFL team besides the Bungles with a record that has gotten progressively worse over the past four seasons, the Chiefs have it all backwards From 2005 to 2008, their win total plummeted 80%, but fan costs soared 19.4%. Do the math: On average, Chiefs fans paid an astoundingly high 645.52 smackers per win last season (among NFL teams, only the Lions' infinity dollars per W was higher). No wonder their Bang number was second to one (hi, Rams!). Here's another shocking number: 10, as in the number of sacks KC's AWOL D recorded in 2008, a league record-low, and 4.5 fewer than ex-Chief Jared Allen got all by himself in his first year away from the City of Fountains. Fortunately, the team's biggest off-season acquisition was an ex-D-lineman -- GM Scott Pioli -- who was sharp enough to spend the third overall pick on a pass-rusher (LSU DE Tyson Jackson). Forward, march?
