Michael Vick back at No. 1
Typical Michael Vick. Just when you thought you'd seen it all from him this season, he orchestrates a three-touchdown comeback in the fourth quarter to stun the Giants (and fantasy football owners across the globe). So while it was tempting to put DeSean Jackson and his game-winning punt return in the No. 1 spot this week, the panel couldn't deny Vick's otherworldly fourth-quarter performance.
Did we get it right this week? Let us know in the comments section below!
2010-11 Power Rankings: Week 35
There is no substitute for Vick-tory! The MVP candidate's fourth-quarter miracle not only helped the Eagles inch closer to locking up the NFC East, he became the 3rd player since 1960 with 100 rushing yards, 200 passing yards and 3 total TDs.
He could ... go ... all ... the ... way! The playmaker returned a punt 65 yards with no time on the clock to complete a 21-point comeback and give Giants punter Matt Dodge an unwelcome holiday memory.
Dear opponents and potential rivals: "The Truth" shall set you down! His week included a last-second jumper over Amare Stoudemire (celebration lap included) and a triple-double against the Pacers to help the Rajon Rondo-less Celts extend their winning streak to a league-best 13 games.
Only Vick bested Rice's fantasy effort Sunday, as the Ravens RB accumulated 233 total yards and two touchdowns in a 30-24 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Saints. Take that, Steelers.
Well, that's more like it. The Super Friends are finally starting to look like the team we thought they would be. And with King James showering us with triple-doubles and double-doubles in three of his past five games, don't expect the Heat to be extinguished anytime soon.
Can anyone stop Crosby? If they can, we haven't seen it this season. The Penguins' go-to guy continues to melt the ice, and he extended his point streak to 21 on Monday.
Seriously, why does anyone ever kick to this guy? Devin Hester did his best Devin Hester impression Monday, returning his 14th career kickoff/punt return for a TD against the Vikings. Welcome to the record books.
Apparently holding out has nothing to do with holding back. The Chargers WR exploded for three touchdowns against the 49ers, hauling in spectacular catches and reminding fans of the power of the Philip Rivers long ball.
How 'bout that for a debut? The Jayhawks' Selby proved exactly why his recruiting star shined so brightly. On Saturday, the freshman scored 21 points and drained the game-winning trifecta to lift Kansas past USC in college hoops.
Twenty-two points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals is a typical night for the UConn senior captain. But the Huskies' 88-game win streak is far from typical, and Moore is a big reason for their historical success.
