"Destiny Stahl"
Pensacola "exotic dancer" who hung out with Mike Price gives new meaning to the phrase "Girls of the SEC."

The Lead Item
Two Words For You:
CLOSE. OUT.
When a playoff series is over, the early-round
games reflect the drama of a used Kleenex. Was it just
a week ago that the Timberwolves were in position to
bounce the struggling champs?
This morning's buzz: The Lakers are clicking as
well as any time this season, and the T-Wolves are
bounced (all together: "once again") from the
first round. Despite the tough draw against L.A.,
Minny must be sick of the annual "learning
experience." Time to ask if Flip Saunders has maxed
out what he can do with his team. (Short answer:
Yes.)
Looking ahead: Loaded San Antonio will give
L.A. a much stiffer test in the second round... The Nets-Celtics rematch of last season's
East finals will be ugly, nasty -- and great.
More From ISU
Doesn't exactly help Larry Eustachy's
cause: His assistant coach called a player's
parents urging them to rally 'round Party Larry (isn't
too much "rallying" what screwed him in the first
place?).
The assistant's encouraging them to "go after the people that
got us" is right up there with the dumbest phone calls ever made. The
moron -- who apparently forgot he worked for the school, not the coach -- was suspended.
NHL Playoffs
Ain't pretty, but effective: Roman
Cechmanek shutouts (like last night's 1-0) are just
about Philly's only chance at beating Ottawa, but he
couldn't possibly have another one left in him for
best-of-3 remainder of series.
Going Pro Early
Texas PG T.J. Ford confirmed he's jumping to
the NBA, but if you're looking for this draft's
Paul Pierce/Caron Butler (Mr. Overlooked Future Star),
try Marquette's well-rounded hero Dwyane Wade, who
declared himself draft-eligible yesterday, too.
MLB All-Star Game
Agreed: Raising All-Star Game stakes will
increase overall fan

interest. But giving the
winning league home-field in the World Series will
only encourage All-Star managers -- those in Series hunt, at least -- to play the best guys more and
eliminate the substitution that really
makes the game fun.
How about making the stakes hilarious
shame? Losing league plays in acid-washed
jeans shorts the week after the break.
