Special to Page 2

What's the story this October? Baseball. There's simply nothing like the morning glory after a playoff victory by your favorite team.

Some might say the NFL owns the next two months. January too. But this month, our traditional national pastime takes center stage, as every sports fan's favorite oasis.

So as we work our way to the Fall Classic, and the ultimate clubhouse champagne supernova, let's enjoy the latest classic tune from Bristol Bob and the Page 2 Crue:
"PLAYOFF BASEBALL"

We assure you, there's no brother-on-brother brawling in this band. Just straight-up rock 'n roll.

LYRICS FOR "PLAYOFF BASEBALL"
Today is gonna be the day
That Roger's gonna throw at you
By now the Braves somehow
Won a division title or two
Randy believes there's nobody
Who can share his view -- except for Yao

Deadbeats, the word is on the street
That the Padres will surely be out
I'm sure they've heard it all before
Because Pujols has a lot of clout
Papi believes that every game
Can be won with a swing or two -- so take a bow

And all the games we watch are spellbinding
And Vladdy's swing makes comebackers frightening
There are many things that Oz
Would like to say to you
Without being a clown

Because maybe
We're gonna root against the Yankees
And after all
We love playoff baseball

Bristol Bob is often referred to as "Mr. October" because he can always go on three days rest. That's how he rolls. E-mail him at bristolbob@gmail.com.
