Scoop Jackson predicts ...
Georgetown coach John Thompson, with an eight-point lead at 11:36 in the first half, calls a timeout. As his players walk to the bench, he simply stares down one of his Hoyas -- the smallest one. He spends the timeout saying nothing, just looking at the top of No. 3's head, who during the entire 90 seconds keeps his head down.

After the TO, the Hoyas, behind Mutombo, Mourning and Ewing's 17 blocked shots and Iverson's 20 points, take a 16-point lead into halftime. The lead increases to 22 midway through the second. Not only is Iverson, who has to deal with seeing "jailbird" and "thug life" signs around the arena, having a field day against Lou Henson's crew, but Michael Graham is showing the Big 10 something it's never seen on a basketball court: A grown-a** man playing a man's game.
Final score: Georgetown 99, Illinois 83
