One might scoff at comparing Chestnut to the likes of fellow alums such as Tommie Smith, John Carlos, Bill Walsh and Dick Vermeil. But could those guys wrest the coveted mustard yellow belt away from Japan's Takeru Kobayashi at the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, defend the title a year later and ultimately claim a three-peat by scarfing a gluttonous total of 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes last month? U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
