Page 3 When the day is done there's nothing better than hitting the couch remote in hand, right? Of course we're right. Still, when it's time to relax and kick back there's still one problem -- what the @% are you supposed to watch? Fear not faithful TV viewer. Page 3 is here to help you navigate the treacherous primetime schedule. We'll give you our top choices for day and then we'll break down what you should watch and why (because not everyone has the luxury of TiVo). Oh, and all times listed are Eastern. Why? Why not?!
PAGE 3'S PICKS: We know we steered clear from some of the NHL match-ups last week, but now things are different. We're talking a shot at the Stanley Cup -- and we're talking about Philly. Giving Jeremy Roenick (the preferred player of "Swingers" Double-Down Trent) your undivided attention isn't the worst TV idea you could have. So check out Flyers-Lightning to start things off. "The Swan"? It's already getting old and the show has only been on for a month. That has to be a record. Anyway, worth a check-in at close to 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for the "reveals." Other than that -- stick with the Flyers. Oh, and don't even think about watching Pacers-Heat. By the time "Raymond" comes on at 9:00 p.m., most households had about 30 chances to watch other episodes due to their unbelievable syndication saturation. So, when 9:00 p.m. rolls around check out "The Swan" and fix yourself a snack. If you're hungry for baseball, there's always Mets-Arizona at 9:35 p.m. Yeah, Red Sox-Indians are on ESPN2, but you don't want to wear yourself out on these teams when you cat watch Pedro vs. C.C. on Tuesday. "The Restaurant" is worth a look at 10:00 p.m., but nothing is going to be better tonight than T'wolves-Kings at 10:30 p.m. Everything else was just a lame opening act compared to this. |
