Sandwiched in between his six WSOP cashes last summer were the two wins on the WPT that put Marvin Rettenmaier into the history books. However, becoming the first back-to-back WPT champion wasn't enough for the German superstar. Rettenmaier has continued his dominance over the past year, earning wins and making final tables all around the world. He has more than $4 million in career earnings, but still lacks the WSOP win that he has been chasing.
Rettenmaier's strength is in the no-limit events. While that might put him at a disadvantage given the larger fields, he has outlasted the game's masses in the past, so why not again this summer?
