After 15 years since his last WSOP victory, Hoyt Corkins won his second bracelet Wednesday in the $2,500 no-limit hold 'em shorthanded event. Corkins, a 47-year-old professional poker player from Las Vegas, won his first bracelet in pot-limit Omaha in 1992. In that event, Corkins had to beat out 48 players, while in Wednesday's win, he would need to outlast 846.

Corkins was the chip leader after Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 and at no point during the final table did he relinquish his lead. Corkins earned $515,065 for the win and was presented his bracelet by poker legend and friend Doyle Brunson.

Other notable finishers include Terrance Chan (second), Alan Sass (fourth), Joe Tehan (13th) and Steve Billirakis (16th).
