Playing at the WSOP is a thrill, but winning your first tournament of any kind at the WSOP is unbelievable. Alexander Borteh, a 24-year-old professional poker player from Columbus, Ohio, finished third in the $1,500 no-limit hold 'em shootout in 2005, and, until Friday, that was the closest he'd get to victory.

The cash was Borteh's fourth at the WSOP. He finished first and third in limit events and 70th and 73rd in two other no-limit events.

The $3,000 limit hold 'em tournament was filled with big names, and the final table was no different. David Pham finished in fourth place, while the brother of Thomas Keller, Shawn Keller, finished in third. Brandon Wong, the runner-up, has now cashed in each of the limit hold 'em events in this WSOP.

Other notable finishers include Chad Brown (11th), Max Pescatori (14th), J.J. Liu (15th) and Phil Hellmuth (25th).
