Medic wins first bracelet at 2008 WSOP
A star-studded 352-player field kicked off the 2008 World Series of Poker with the $10,000 pot-limit hold 'em event. The final table was filled with some very familiar names including Andy Bloch, Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton, Phil Laak, Patrik Antonius, Nenad Medic and Chris Bell. Each hoped to take down the first event of the series, but in the end, it was Medic taking home his first bracelet.

"It's amazing," Medic noted after the victory. "I came in here with big goals. But I didn't think it would all happen this quickly."
Medic had many previous notable cashes, but perhaps the most impressive was his 2006 victory at the World Poker Finals, a $10,000 World Poker Tour event. With this victory, Medic has eclipsed the $3.6 million mark in career earnings.
