Mr. Irrelevant DraftTracker: Kevin Nagle

By by David Fleming

Name: Kevin Nagle
Position: Linebacker
School: Div. II East Stroudsburg
Vitals: 6'2", 240 pounds, 4.7 in the 40
Stats: Led the Warriors in tackles four straight years. Two-time defensive player of the year in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The leading vote getter at linebacker on the D-II All-America team. Career total of 477 tackles.

Notes: Nagle hails from Effort, Pa., which about sums up this over-achiever who could wreck havoc as a special teams wacko on Sundays ... What might grab a scout's attention as the draft rolls to a close is Nagle is very similar in size and style to perhaps the most succesful Mr. I of 'em all, Browns LB Marty Moore ... Nagle's speed is good for someone his size, and with a year or two of NFL coaching, his instincts and reaction time will improve. "I was a smarter player this year," says Nagle. "I knew the game better and I was much more efficient with my reads. I used to just fly to the ball. This season I had a better concept of what I was supposed to do as an inside linebacker within the total team defense."
