What was Luciano Gaucci, chairman of the Italian soccer club Perugia, thinking when he cut South Korea's Ahn Jung-hwan after Ahn scored the overtime goal that knocked Italy out of the World Cup?

Ahn Jung-hwan's golden goal for South Korea might have cost him his day job.
A. He just wanted to protect Ahn from angry Italian fans.

B. He was jealous that Ahn had better hair than Francesco Totti.

C. He was seeking vengeance after coming out on the wrong end of a bout with some bad kimchi.

D. Perugia didn't have any players on the Italian team it could fire.

E. Perugia officials couldn't get through to Ahn because "Make him an offer he couldn't refuse" translated from Italian to Korean means "All your base are belong to us."

F. Gaucci couldn't figure out a way to cut the referee.
