What was U.S. TV audience thinking?

Page 2 staff

As usual, a lot of strange stuff is happening in the world of sports -- and in the real world, for that matter. So, Page 2 is here once again to try to make sense of all the weirdness with another edition of "What the Heck Are They Thinking?"

We've tried to figure out what some prominent folks might be thinking -- if anything -- and the best we could do was come up with multiple possibilities, all equally plausible. So, as always, we are asking for your help. Check out the options for each questionable act or quote, and vote in the poll to move on to yet another strange story.

Anna Nicole Smith
A record number of E! viewers tried to relate with Anna Nicole Smith.
What the heck was the U.S. TV viewing audience thinking when it tuned into the premiere of "The Anna Nicole Show" on E! in near-record numbers?

A. "Waiting to see if Anna would fit into each home's bathtub was like waiting to see if the glass slipper would fit Cinderella."

B. "It's just so relatable. Who can't sympathize with an unemployed millionaire struggling to find her dream home?"

C. "I wonder if Ozzy is sitting at home saying, 'This bloody b**** is all f***** up.' "

D. "It's about time television began portraying plus-size women in a positive light."

E. "I had no idea that nudity blur-out filters came in that size."

F. "I thought it was the 'Anna and Nicole Show' starring Anna Kournikova and Nicole Kidman."
