What was George O'Leary thinking?

Page 2 staff

What the heck was George O'Leary thinking when he watched Notre Dame go to 5-0 Saturday with a rout of Stanford, while O'Leary works as an assistant for the 0-4 Minnesota Vikings?

George O'Leary
O'Leary is 0-4 in Minnesota ... so much for luck o' the Irish.
A. "Big deal. I once went undefeated for a whole season. Says so right here on my résumé."

B. "Willingham told me in August there was no way Notre Dame could start out 5-0. That guy is such a liar."

C. "Would anyone blame me for denying I ever worked in Minnesota?"

D. "It's disappointing, but not nearly as disappointing as when I struck out, bottom of the ninth, two outs, in the seventh game of the 1979 World Series."

E. "When I was a freshman at New Hampshire, we beat Stanford 65-7. I ran for nine touchdowns."

F. "Until someone on the Irish pushes a traffic officer down the street with his car, we're comparing apples to oranges."
