What the heck was the president of St. Bonaventure thinking when he admitted a student with a welding degree?
"Welding is cool. That chick from 'Flashdance' was a welder."
A. "Welding? I though they said Wesleyan."
B. "Hey, it's not just a welding degree. It's also a 35-inch vertical leap."
C. "That whole welder-turned-student thing worked for Jennifer Beals in 'Flashdance.' "
D. "St. Bonaventure opens it arms to all prospective students, be they points guards, shooting guards, centers ..."
E. "If the NCAA asks, you're just preparing in case the basket gets cracked during a game and needs to get fixed on the fly."
F. "We were planning on sealing the door shut on integrity in college sports anyway, and thought this would make the metaphor more concrete."
