What was Bill Parcells thinking?

Page 2 staff

What the heck was Bill Parcells thinking when he wouldn't let Dallas rookies wear helmets with the Cowboys' star on them during minicamp?

Bill Parcells is looking to teach the young Cowboys how to win.
A. "You have to earn that star, Rook. You have to blend in. Here in Dallas, no one gets a star until his first drug collar."

B. "And no gold stars, either, if you color outside the lines in your playbooks."

C. "Used to be, I wouldn't let rookies wear protective cups during practice. Relatively speaking, this is progress."

D. "Those of you who are Jewish, however, may continue to wear the Star of David."

E. "I don't want them to get confused with the stars they'll be seeing in their heads as soon as Warren Sapp hits them."

F. "Rookies need to learn it's a whole different kettle of 'Tuna' here in the NFL."
