What was Larry Beinfest thinking?

What the heck was Florida Marlins' GM Larry Beinfest thinking when he refused to allow fired pitching coach Brad Arnsberg into the stadium to pick up his belongings?

Will drive up your team's ERA for food.
A. "The schedule clearly says 'Disgruntled Ex-Employee Night' isn't until June 16."

B. "He refused to come in until Brad Penny threw 150 pitches in the bullpen. What should I have done?"

C. "If he wants to come in here, he'll have to wait in line to buy a ticket just like the other 39 fans who come to Pro Player every night."

D. "Not only that, but I'm refusing to let him back into our Tuesday morning shuffleboard game, as well."

E. "Seriously, I was afraid our pitching staff would beat him to death with the tattered remains of their throwing arms."

F. "Do you have any idea what 'Brad Arnsberg' gear is selling for on e-Bay?"
