Because basketball subjects your knees and legs to a high level of stress, the sneakers you wear should be specifically designed for the sport. These models are engineered to provide support and cushioning during sudden speed and directional changes, which can help prevent some injuries.

Make sure your shoes properly fit your feet. If you slip or slide within the shoe while you are running, your knees can become unstable and vulnerable to injury.

Unfortunately, there are no knee braces that will prevent an ACL injury. However, if you have suffered such an ACL injury, your physician or physical therapist will likely fit you with a brace that will limit knee movement during rehab.
