As if game-used jerseys, shoes, helmets and hats weren't enough, sports memorabilia collectors can now get a piece of used billboard.

Pieces from the 80-by-100 foot billboard of former University of Oregon and current Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington that was displayed across from Madison Square Garden for his 2001 Heisman Trophy campaign are now being sold on Harrington's Web site joeyharrington3.com to raise money for the school's scholarship fund.

Harrington was given the banner by the school's athletic director, Bill Moos.

"This is a great opportunity for me to give back to the University of Oregon," said Harrington, who finished fourth in the voting that year after leading his team to an 11-1 season. "I think the banner did a lot for Oregon athletics in 2001 and now it can do a lot for Oregon academics in 2003."

Options for the collector include a billboard card, which costs $19.93, to a billboard lithograph, which costs $99.93.

Money raised will go to the school's Lundquist College of Business, where Harrington spent most of his classroom days studying for his bachelor's degree in business administration. The goal of the campaign is to raise $250,000, which is the amount of money that school boosters donated to pay for the billboard.

The business school plans on awarding the first scholarships generated from the sale of the billboard collectibles in the 2004-2005 academic school year.
