What was Don Zimmer thinking?
Page 2 staff
What the heck was 72-year-old Yankees' bench coach Don Zimmer thinking when he charged out on the field to challenge Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez during Game 3 of the ALCS?
"I don't care who you are. Now that it's 1973, I won't tolerate that."
A. "I'll throw the same punch at him that I once used to knock out Calvin Coolidge."
B. "The British are coming! The British are coming!"
C. "If I roll around in the dirt long enough, maybe no one will notice that I messed my adult undergarments in the second inning."
D. "Someone told me Pedro was putting Preparation-H on the ball, and I'm missing my tube."
E. "And now . . . as I depart this wonderful game . . . let this graceful moment be my final legacy."
F. "This is the last time I take two Viagras in one day."
