The Texas Longhorns, led by Rose Bowl MVP and Heisman Trophy candidate QB Vince Young, finished the season 11-1 following their 38-37 win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl Game. Last season Young became the first player in UT history to throw and rush for more than 1,000 yards (1,849 passing/1,079 rushing) in a season. Texas has finished the year ranked in the Top 10 in three of the last four seasons.The Ohio State Buckeyes finished the regular season 8-4 and earned a trip to the Alamo Bowl, defeating Oklahoma State 33-7. Ohio State returns 18 starters, including NCAA record setter Ted Ginn Jr. and All-America linebacker AJ Hawk. The Buckeyes beat Michigan 37-21 last season in what is annually one of college football's most anticipated match-ups. Several more primetime match-ups between traditional national powers will be announced at a later date.
