Vold's unveils new LeDoux tribute
Vold's Triple V Rodeo Company is starting an annual Western art show to run concurrent with the PRCA rodeo and concert in Casper, Wyo. (Oct. 21-22).
The show will feature the art of Chris LeDoux, including two spectacular bronzes (a bareback rider and a bull), various illustrations and clothing. While none of LeDoux's art is for sale, it will be on display with storyboards that tell something about each piece.
Chris' widow, Peggy LeDoux, is having a copy of the bareback bronze created by LeDoux re-cast to award to the champion bareback rider of the rodeo. The Western Underground (LeDoux's band for more than 16 years) will perform a concert after the rodeo.
Guest artists whose art will be for sale include Mike Thomas, Nate Wald, Tom Balding, Adam Jaheil, Arnie Esp, Bob Coronado, Beau LeDoux (LeDoux's son), Ty Skiver and G.K. Fraker. The many artists will have sculptures, rawhide, bits/spurs, photography, silversmithing, chaps, saddles and more.
