MediaDay
Have to say, I was impressed by Tony Dungy. Definitely has a real presence about him. I stopped by to snap a picture of him and ended up sticking around for 3-4 minutes more than I expected. There's a gentle vibe about him, and he looks everyone in the eye and speaks in a deep, soothing voice. He's like a more fatherly cross between Barry White and Barack Obama. I definitely can see why guys love playing for him. And no, I'm not in the habit of making sweeping generalizations about people after spending 4 minutes standing within 15 feet of them.

MediaDay
From the highs (seeing Maria Menounos in person …)

MediaDay
To the lows (seeing Adam Vinatieri in person when he's wearing a freaking Colts uniform). It was like running into an old college girlfriend who's now dating the single biggest jerk you went to school with. I can't even talk about it. He should have retired as a New England Patriot. Damn it all.

MediaDay
Fortunately, the "American Idol" rejects (you can see them on Vinatieri's left) cheered me up by forcing Adam to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" with them. Check out the utter revulsion and dismay of the two reporters next to them who were trying to get quotes for their stories. You have to love media day. It's the one day of Super Bowl week that always delivers the goods.

Let's end this on a picture of my press pass. Maybe I shouldn't be making fun of the Manning Face.
