Rollins after the same feat
I'm so thankful for the fan response throughout baseball for accomplishment of the 20-20-20-20 and also everything leading up to that feat. One thing that is kind of surprising to me is that I haven't heard too much mention of Jimmy Rollins in that same category.
If you didn't already know, Rollins is just two triples away from also getting the 20-20-20-20, but there hasn't been too much talk about him. I do remember seeing once during an ESPN night game a screen showing Jimmy, myself and Willie Mays at the same time as possibly being the next two guys to do what Mays did. Since then I haven't seen too much about it.
With the Phillies also in a tight race in their division and in the wild-card race, getting two more extra-base hits would be a great way to help his team try to advance to the postseason. Hopefully, they'll be triples. People are saying it will hard for him to get two more because his home ballpark doesn't allow for many triples, but Rollins has a lot of speed. If he is able to hit a ball down the right-field line or in the right-center gap, or even the left-center gap, I'm sure he will turn it up and find a way to advance to third base. It will also be tough to pitch around him, because the Phillies have a strong offensive lineup that includes another MVP candidate in Chase Utley.
So I want to wish the best of luck to Jimmy Rollins as he tries to reach that milestone. In my opinion, the best thing is that to get triples he won't have to change anything in his swing.
