Some things in this world just go together: peanut butter and jelly, oreos and milk, and Lauren and Heidi. Other pairings might surprise you; we've got one! Massive Jets DT Kris Jenkins and kitchen chops. The dude can cook a mean omelette. We're going to show you, via our new series, Jock Chef. Because Jenkins was new to the Jets and still establishing his own crib, we borrowed the kitchen of teammate Eric Barton. Barton and some other teammates dropped by to taste a sampling of Jenkins' egg-white chicken omelet. Sure, a 6'4", 330-lb. lineman may not seem like an "egg white" kind of guy, but Jenkin's special recipe includes spinach, tomatoes, chicken breast and his secret ingredient for succulent taste: truffle oil. Fancy! "Me and my brother, Cullen (DE for Green Bay Packers), we were raised by a single father," Jenkins says. "Most of the time, my father was at work, so me and my brother had to learn to cook to live." Jenkins also credits magazines and cooking shows as the inspiration behind his chef skills. All we know is that he's welcome in our kitchen anytime.
